Why the beautiful photo above? Peace of mind.
More peace of mind - and more income, less risk and fewer headaches - are what you can enjoy from our educational and networking opportunities. And your clients can have more peace of mind because they can achieve a more profitable done deal.
Our focus is on dealmaking, with concentration on the buy-side of acquisitions and mergers of small and midsize businesses.
If you are or would like to be working for buyers and sellers of small or midsize businesses, we can show you how to earn extra income serving buyers. Knowing more about the buyer side of the transaction can empower you to provide better service and make more money from sellers.
We can show you how to further develop the scope of service you already offer buyers, and we can show you how to diversify so buyers hire you for a larger scope of service.
The members of the Institute of Professional Business Buyer Advisors are professional service providers to buyers of small or midsize businesses. Most of them also work on large transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Most of our members, from their home base, serve a national clientele; some of them international. They involve other specialists, regardless of their locale, in dealmaking when local talent is not equivalent to specialists whose office is in another locale. The IPBBA encourages this type of networking.
Depending upon their specialty, in addition to dealmaking from their client’s business decision-making point-of-view, they also provide transaction-related services pertaining to legal, taxation, valuation, financial and estate planning, etc.
And some of them also advise or represent business sellers.
Please see our Code of Ethics.
Sometimes a service provider’s specialty can get in the way of dealmaking.
Accountants, attorneys and business acquisition advisors, especially those that work on large AND small acquisitions or mergers, can benefit from the IPBBA materials. Attending our conference workshops conveys the technical and client management components necessary for business acquisition advisors to materially enhance their understanding and performance of consulting for clients who buy or merge small or midsize businesses with respect to the business aspects (as opposed to legal, accounting, tax or valuation).
As "buy/sell transaction" people we can expand your opportunity.
We facilitate done deals.
We are a newly organized professional association founded by and comprising some of the most experienced leaders in the business acquisition advisory professions.
